Black History Essay & Art Contest Award Presentation

for Stratford students in grades K-5 and grades 6-8.
First, Second and Third place prize winners will be formally
announced and PRIZES awarded at the
Black History Month Celebration on

Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday



In observance of Martin Luther King's Birthday, the library will be closed on Sunday, January 15 and Monday, January 16. It will reopen at 10 am on Tuesday January 17.

Holiday Hours at the Library

The Library will be closed for the Christmas and New Years Holidays on the following dates:
 
  • Saturday, December 24
  • Sunday, December 25
  • Monday, December 26
  • Saturday December 31
  • Sunday, January 1
  • Monday, January 2

Tuesday, December 27th thru Thursday, December 29th we will be open 10-8 and Friday, December 30th 10-5. We will return to our regular hours on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Technology Sandbox--NEW Dates Added!

A Technology Sandbox is a place:
  • to be exposed to new technology
  • to try new applications
  • to play and learn about exciting current technologies 
Did you know you can download library materials for FREE? Bring your e-reader, smartphone, iPod, iPad even your laptop and we can show you how Stratford Library can bring your favorite books, music and movies to your device!

Sandboxes are scheduled for:
  • Sat., Nov. 19,  10:00-12:00 noon
  • Mon., Dec. 12, 10:00-12 noon
  • Tues., Dec.13,  5:00-7:00 pm
  • Tues., Jan., 3,  5:00-7:00 pm
  • Mon., Jan. 9,   10:00-12 noon
                 and    3:00-5:00 pm
All sessions will be held in the Lovell Room

Free College Prep Service for Teens Offered October 18th

The Stratford Library Teen Services Department will host a special “Teen Tuesday” program to help students with upcoming Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SATs) on Tuesday, October 18 from 6-8 pm.
