Anime Club --Join Us!

The next Anime Club meeting is Wednesday, August 13th at 4 pm in the Lovell Room.  We will watch the conclusion of Princess Mononoke and decide if we want to choose another movie for next month!  Let's talk about anime and manga suggestions to add to the library collection too!

The Anime Club is FREE and  open to all middle and high school students. Bring a friend, have some snacks and find out what other teens are reading, watching, gaming and drawing!

Teen Summer Reading Awards

YOU HAVE TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT!

The Teen Summer Reading Program is winding down.  You have until Saturday August 9th to LOG IN and complete your entries.  You can pick up your tickets and enter the drawing for the baskets through Monday August 11th.   
Once you have completed 4 entries you are automatically entered the drawing for the FREE LIMO RIDE!

The Anime, Artistic, Fitness, Pet and Movie Baskets and the LIMO RIDE will all be awarded on Tuesday night, August 12th at 6 pm at the Grand Finale Summer Reading Celebration. You do not have to be present to win but it will be a great evening of performances, food and fun!  Please join us.

This very special program will give teens a chance to talk to the author about the tough topic of bullying as well as learning about writing, cartooning and getting published.

Annual Black History Month Contest and Celebration!


South End Community Center and Stratford Library – Teen Services Department
sponsor our annual
Black History Month Contest and Celebration
for ALL Stratford students in grades 6 - 8.
Essays or art must be returned to the Stratford Library Teen Services Department
by January 25, 2014.
All entries must include: students name, age, grade, school, teacher and contact number.
 First, Second and Third Prize winners will be formally announced and awarded their prizes on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in the Stratford Library Lovell Room at 11 am
