Bring the kids to this very special "Meet the Author" event!

The Stratford Library will host former Stratford author James Mihaley for a special "Meet-the-Author" program on Sunday, December 2 at 2 pm. Mihaley is the author of the witty new children's novel, "You Can't Have My Planet, But Take my Brother, Please". The program is free and open to the public.

In "You Can't Have My Planet, But Take My Brother, Please" it turns out that we humans are merely renting Earth and because we're such lousy tenants, we're about to get evicted. The author adds, "This is a hilarious book with a big eco-theme, which is even more pertinent now after Hurricane Sandy, which many believe was influenced by climate change. Mihaley uses humor to draw our attention to caring about our environment.

James Mihaley was born in Bridgeport and attended Eli Whitney elementary school in Stratford. Mihaley currently lives in Los Angeles. Autographed copies of the novel will be available for purchase following the library program.
